Workshop Madness!

One Fine Day Photography's January 3rd workshop was a smashing success. The workshop was held at one of Scottsdale, Arizona's premier wedding venue's Sassi. In attendance were instructors Anne McCarthy and Doug Williams and 23 eager and very talented students. A special thanks to Sassi's Bernice Hertsfeldt for allowing us the use of this stunning venue for the day. Thanks also go to Princess Bride Cinematic Videography's Carl Anderson and Ricky Bennett for providing last minute video coverage. The day started with a classroom presentation slideshow that included more than 300 photos illustrating lighting in challenging situations, sun flare, lighting reflection, anticipating "moments", and more. In the afternoon including hands-on shooting sessions including real brides and grooms. Our first couple were Courtney and Kade, whose real wedding just took place only a few months ago in La Jolla, California. Our second couple, Stephanie and Jason got to revisit their original wedding venue - they were married at Sassi just 2 years ago. Lastly, Tracy was our third model. Tracy found One Fine Day Photography 8 years ago when she was a newcomer to photography and trying her hand at wedding photography. Even though she has taken a different direction with her career, she never forgot us - and we never forgot her - and had the pleasure of shooting her wedding this past April. As you can see from these images posted, our students got wildly creative and showed quite a bit of talent. Visit the blog again soon to learn more about our March workshop which will be held at one of Scottsdale's only 5 star resorts - the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain.

what an amazing workshop this was!! I love all the photos! Everyone worked very hard, and it was great to see a diverse amount of photographers from ages to experience along with all the different angles we came back with even though we photographed the same people. Way to go one fine day!!
