SoCal Wedding Bliss!

After photographing Veronica and Gary's wedding 4 years ago, and then their friends Marques and Rosalie's wedding 2 years ago, it was a pleasure to get a call from Kimberlee Elliot (the sister of Marques) telling me that she would love to have One Fine Day Photography as her wedding photographer. The only problem was that her fiance Jeremy was serving our country in Iraq and she wasn't sure when the big day would be. After months on pins and needles (praying for Jeremy's safe return) I was so happy to finally get the call that Jeremy was on his way home and the wedding would be held in beautiful San Diego. The wedding was a joy!! And it was great to see all the same familiar faces (Veronica and Gary even had an 8-month old tiny little bundle named Xavier - who was too cute for words) - such great friends and family the Elliots have!

Holly & Jason's engagement

Holly called One Fine Day Photography about 3 months ago and said she had to have us as her wedding photographers. That is always so nice to hear. Turns out Holly is friends with another bride (Jessica) who's wedding we photographed in 2005. Fast forward to early October of 2009 and we had pleasure of meeting Holly's fiance Jason for a great engagement session with the both of them. My favorite photograph is them hugging under the moon.

Drew & Tiffany

One Fine Day Photography's Doug Williams had a blast with Tiffany and Drew at Scottsdale's beautiful Sanctuary Resort. Doug already knew they would be a super-fun couple since he had photographed some really creative engagment photos for them six months earlier. Not your typical "traditional" couple, they were game for all sorts of creative photographic ideas on their gorgeous wedding day. Especially as the sunset drew nearer. They partied well into the night, and the creative ideas kept coming. We love that last photo of them in the lobby of the ballroom. Congrats Drew and Tiffany!

Anthony & Carrie

When One Fine Day Photography's Anne McCarthy met Anthony & Carrie at Monteluccia a year ago when they were in town looking for a place to get married, she knew they were going to be the best! So much fun. She ended up shooting their engagement pictures at Monteluccia - such a beautiful property with gorgeous backdrops for this super-fun couple. Their wedding was held in an equally beautiful setting - the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain. And is with most October nights, the sky turned a brilliant red just in time for some great photos right before the couple's grand entrance into their reception.

Katrina & Brad

While One Fine Day Photography's team shooters Doug and Eric were at Sassi capturing beautiful moments for Julie and Ben, Anne and Jim were at Troon North Golf Club with the sweetest couple - Katrina and Brad. Their wedding day couldn't have been more perfect. Katrina looked beautiful in a classic white gown, while Brad work a tux with tails (LOVE tails), and cowboy boots and hat. They were the perfect compliment to each other. Congratulations Brad and Katrina!

Julie & Ben

A few years ago - before we were even blogging - Anne McCarthy photographed the wedding of Megan Schulze. This time it was One Fine Day Photography's Doug Williams who photographed another Schulze family wedding. Megan's brother Ben and his bride Julie were married at the fabulous Sassi in North Scottsdale. Both the bride and groom were stunning on such a beautiful October evening.
