A Villa Siena wedding

Villa Siena is one of those wedding venues that has been designed with the utmost in style and elegance. It looks like a Tuscan villa. So where did I bring the bride for a cool shot? Why the ladies room, of course. I notice a wall in the ladies room that had great texture and a fabulous spot light above it. I leaned the bride against the wall and voila!

The wedding party from Michigan

Eight bridesmaids and eight groomsmen, and they almost didn't make it to Phoenix. There was a blizzard in Michigan and many of their flights were delayed. Needless to say they were happy to finally arrive in the Valley of the Sun. I tried some infrared images at their wedding and am happy with the result. And a butterfly release offered some comic relief.

A wedding in Pebble Beach

Destination weddings are great. Marissa and Andrew interviewed me several months back saying they wanted to fly me to Pebble Beach, California for their New Year's wedding. I was happy to oblige. I love this couple. She's a physical therapist, he's a PGA pro golfer. The weather was beautiful, the people were fun. What more could I have asked for?

The Sand Dunes

One of my former brides said after her wedding that she always wanted - some day - to put her wedding dress back on and do a creative session at the sand dunes. We made her wish come true a few weeks back. I've got to go back some day. It was beautiful!

It's Official, I'm a blogger

I should have started a One Fine Day Photography long ago. No excuses. So I'll spend the next couple of posts catching up on some of my favorite recent weddings. Starting with the wedding of a good friend, David DeDios. Also a wedding photographer. His wedding was quite unique. First and formost because most of the bride's family came up from Mexico. The costumes, the color... it was glorious. Second, there were 5 of us photographing the wedding! My favorite part was the rodeo! How often does a groom and his bride ride horseback at their own wedding? What a blast.
