We always love shooting weddings at Troon North Country Club. It seems that without fail, everytime we have a wedding to photograph there, the sunsets are the most brilliant ever. Our couple, Kristina were shy and sweet - couldn't have been nicer. And as always, it is such a job to work with Troon's wedding planner, Amber Riley. And a special thanks to Elisha - a very special photographic talent that came along to help out that day.

Halloween Wedding!

I've never been asked to dress in costume for a wedding before. How fun was that?? The happy couple - Martin and Sabrina - had told us in advance that theirs was going to be a theme wedding. The theme? A Midsummer Night's Dream. The bride's fairy wings made for some fun photo opps! Not to mention that the Castle at Ashley Manor made for a perfect backdrop. Every guest in attendance was also in costume. My trusty second shooter Jim Baker was dressed as a Monk - and me - Robin Hood. Thanks Martin and Sabrina for the ultimate "party" wedding!

Scottish Wedding

Who doesn't love a guy in a kilt? Or even a baby in a kilt? How cute is that? One Fine Day Photography enjoyed photographing the wedding of Lori and Philip at the Sanctuary where the men in the wedding party (even a 14-month old) were in kilts. The groom was kick. What a sense of humor. The evening was beautiful, the weather perfect and the partying went on well into the wee hours of the morning.

SoCal Wedding Bliss!

After photographing Veronica and Gary's wedding 4 years ago, and then their friends Marques and Rosalie's wedding 2 years ago, it was a pleasure to get a call from Kimberlee Elliot (the sister of Marques) telling me that she would love to have One Fine Day Photography as her wedding photographer. The only problem was that her fiance Jeremy was serving our country in Iraq and she wasn't sure when the big day would be. After months on pins and needles (praying for Jeremy's safe return) I was so happy to finally get the call that Jeremy was on his way home and the wedding would be held in beautiful San Diego. The wedding was a joy!! And it was great to see all the same familiar faces (Veronica and Gary even had an 8-month old tiny little bundle named Xavier - who was too cute for words) - such great friends and family the Elliots have!

Holly & Jason's engagement

Holly called One Fine Day Photography about 3 months ago and said she had to have us as her wedding photographers. That is always so nice to hear. Turns out Holly is friends with another bride (Jessica) who's wedding we photographed in 2005. Fast forward to early October of 2009 and we had pleasure of meeting Holly's fiance Jason for a great engagement session with the both of them. My favorite photograph is them hugging under the moon.
