A Beautiful Day at the Phoenician

One Fine Day Photography was so moved by this wedding. Christy and David's big day at Scottsdale's beautiful Phoenician Resort had some of the sweetest moments including self-written vows and many tears throughout the ceremony. The reception had some of it's own fabulous moments too including entertainment by an Irish dance troupe, and an incredible belly dancer. Christy even serenaded David with her own special custom dance at the end of the evening.

One Fine Day Photography's Anne McCarthy and Doug Williams got a chance to work together again for this beautiful wedding held at Arizona's beautiful Sanctuary Resort. After 8 years of working together, this experienced team of photographers continue to bounce the creative ideas back and forth to create beautiful wedding day images for people like this super fun couple - Meredith and Matt. The bride and groom had so much fun on their wedding day, even creating the perfect choreographed Grand Introduction for the entire wedding party. And the day was topped off by the most beautiful "red sky" sunset ever! Congratulations Meredith and Matt.

What a fun couple!! This uber-cool Manhatten couple had their "destination" wedding here in Phoenix, Arizona at the beautiful Sanctuary Resort. Even though the heat was still a factor (hottest summer on record!) in early September, no one seemed to be bothered. The couple, their family and friends partied well into the evening. Congratulations Winnie and Greg.

Candlelight Wedding

It's not often we get to do a wedding by candle light. Gene and Roger were married under the stars on a beautiful September night at Scottsdale's gorgeous Sassi. Family and friends from far and wide (including one of my favorite places - Canada!) came to share in this fabulous couple's special night. Congratulations Gene and Roger.

Angel's Stadium!!!

I felt like I made new best friends when I met Jim and Gina. What a great couple! They will be getting married on April 30th at Scottsdale's gorgeous Monteluccia. Both big Anaheim Angel's baseball fans, they flew me to SoCal to do engagement photos inside Angel's stadium. What a blast it was. Here are a few of my favorites.

Josina & Matt's wedding

It has been great being back at the Phoenician photographing weddings. We did quite a few weddings there in the 90s, but then corporate events seemed to be the trend for that venue for a while. With the new economy, they are back in the wedding business and we're always happy to be there. The Orchid Lawn was a beautiful spot for Matt and Josina to share their vows. Even though there were tons of secret service roaming around all day, we managed to get some beautiful images. And Matt and Josina were just as beautiful.

Guess who crashed our wedding?

So Josina and Matt never would have thought when they booked their wedding at the lush and beautiful Phoenician almost a year ago, that President Obama would be staying at the exact same resort on the same day. Secret service, bomb sniffing dogs, and tons of police made it a little tricky to move around the property for photos, but in the end Josina and Matt had a beautiful day. Stay tuned for their pix....
